Accounts Clerk Officer

 We are seeking a mature and experienced Accounts Clerk / Officer to join our dynamic Finance Team.

Responsibilities

 The selected candidate will be employed on a full-time basis and will be responsible for general day to day accounting duties, including:

  • Processing requests for payment and preparing bank payments for authorisation.
  • Posting banking transactions and preparing bank account reconciliations.
  • Processing supplier invoices and ensuring correct allocation of payments.
  • Preparing reconciliations in relation to customer and supplier transactions.
  • Posting transactions in a timely and accurate manner to ensure end of month deadlines are met.
  • Any other accounting duties which might be required, including banking and cashiering responsibilities.

 

Education and Experience

Applicants should ideally possess:

  • An ‘A’ level pass in Accounting or equivalent AAT qualification.
  • A minimum of two years’ previous experience in a similar role.

 

Skills

We are looking for an individual who is willing to pursue a career in Finance and is:

  • A flexible team player.
  • Able to work on own initiative with minimal supervision.
  • Fluent in both English and Maltese.
  • Proficient in the use of accounting software and Microsoft Office applications.

A vacancy has arisen within our Motor Claims Department and we are seeking to recruit a Motor Claims Officer to join our dynamic team.

 

Motor Claims Officer

The Motor Claims Officer will be expected to liaise with both individual and corporate clients as well as intermediaries in the processing of claims through all stages.

 Responsibilities:

  • Client facing duties.
  • Collecting accurate information and documents to proceed with a claim.
  • Guiding and advising customers with any issues and queries which they may have related to their claim.
  • General office duties.

 

Education & Experience:

  • Matriculation Certificate Level.
  • A related insurance qualification (or part qualification) will be given preference. 
  • Previous experience in customer support and office duties.
  • Previous experience within the local insurance industry, ideally in a motor claims environment will be given preference.

 

Skills:      

  • Working on own initiative.
  • Sense of team spirit, responsibility, accountability, and ownership.
  • Ability to handle various customer types.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Excellent communication skills in English & Maltese.

Responsibilities:

  • Dealing with customers (face-to-face, via email, and over the phone).
  • Responding to queries and explaining products and services to clients.
  • General office duties.
  • Obtaining, handling, and processing of customer documentation.
  • Issuing of Home, Travel, Personal Accident, Marine Hull and Marine Cargo quotations, policies, and renewals.

 

Education & Experience:

  • Preferably, a related insurance qualification (or part qualification).
  • Previous experience within the local insurance industry.

 

Skills:

  • Sense of responsibility, accountability, and ownership.
  • Ability to handle various customer types.
  • Excellent customer service skills.

Credit Control Officer

We are seeking a mature and experienced individual to join our Credit Control function within the Finance Team.

 

Responsibilities

The selected candidate, who will be employed on a full-time basis, will be responsible for:

  • General day to day duties in connection with the servicing of our debtors’ ledger.
  • Dealing with queries from clients and insurance intermediaries.
  • Performing account reconciliations.
  • Generating statement print runs.
  • Dealing with overdue accounts including chasing by telephone and letter.
  • Other administrative and accounting responsibilities.

 

Education and Experience

Applicants should ideally possess:

  • An ‘A’ level pass in Accounting or equivalent AAT qualification.
  • 3 years’ experience in Credit Control.
  • A valid driving licence.

 

Skills

We are looking for an individual who is willing to pursue a career in Credit Control and is:

  • A flexible team player.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Fluent in both English and Maltese.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
