Credit Control Officer

Job Details:

We are seeking a mature and experienced individual to join our Credit Control function within the Finance Team.

 

Responsibilities

The selected candidate, who will be employed on a full-time basis, will be responsible for:

  • General day to day duties in connection with the servicing of our debtors’ ledger.
  • Dealing with queries from clients and insurance intermediaries.
  • Performing account reconciliations.
  • Generating statement print runs.
  • Dealing with overdue accounts including chasing by telephone and letter.
  • Other administrative and accounting responsibilities.

 

Education and Experience

Applicants should ideally possess:

  • An ‘A’ level pass in Accounting or equivalent AAT qualification.
  • 3 years’ experience in Credit Control.
  • A valid driving licence.

 

Skills

We are looking for an individual who is willing to pursue a career in Credit Control and is:

  • A flexible team player.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Fluent in both English and Maltese.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Deputy COO

  • The ability to negotiate with difficult clients and manage relationships.
  • Good PR/ interpersonal skills, including communication and reporting skills, problem analysis.

Head of Commercial Underwriting and Reinsurance

The Head of Commercial Underwriting and Reinsurance will report to the Commercial Underwriting General Manager.

Position summary and Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing and approving commercial underwriting decisions of employees and ensuring compliance to regulatory requirements and Company, business and strategic objectives.
  • Managing relations with various international reinsurers.
  • Reviewing underwriting guidelines and providing input on new guidelines as the Commercial Underwriting Department grows.
  • Developing and maintaining strong business relationships with all distribution channels.
  • Risk surveys management and review.

 

Experience and Skills:

  • Experience in underwriting large complex insurance risks, particularly CAR's.
  • An understanding of local insurance regulations.
  • The ability to build collaborative relationships with colleagues, reinsurers and clients.
