  • Do not dispose of any damaged items.
  • Only discuss accident/loss details with the police or your insurance company.
  • Contact your insurer as soon as possible for guidance.
  • In case of theft, attempted theft, fire, collisions, injuries, vandalism and malicious damage you must inform the Police and file a report.
  • Immediately forward to us any legal letters/documents in connection with any claims relating to legal liability for any injuries and damages to third parties.
  • It is important that you do not answer legal letters.
  • Do not discuss, admit, reject or negotiate any claim with anyone else without our permission.
  • Elmo Insurance may decide to appoint a marine surveyor to inspect the damages. The insured is required to follow any instructions given by the surveyor and to forward all quotations for the repairs / replacements to the surveyor’s office for approval, prior to commencement of works.

  • Download claim form. Please make sure you sign and fully complete all sections.
  • Print copies of photos or other evidence to help you prove your loss or damage.
  • Attach any other document (police report, nautical license, technical reports where applicable etc.)

Step 3. Original Documentation

Original claim form and other documentation will need to be forwarded by post to:
