Elmo Insurance Ltd announced a further strengthening of its management structure by promoting three managers to senior posts.

David Bartoli, Managing Director of Elmo Insurance Ltd. said “The insurance industry is going through a tremendous amount of change initiated and promoted by the introduction of far reaching legislation which is due to come into force on 1st January 2014. It will definitely have an enormous impact on how the insurance industry functions. We are taking active measures to prepare for this day. An insurance company’s greatest asset is the quality of its human resources and succession planning is always a very delicate matter to deal with.  This measure has been planned for some time and we are very pleased and fortunate to be in a position to promote a younger generation of managers to take over key positions within Elmo.”

These appointments include: 

• Anthony Cauchi as Senior Manager –  Claims and Personal Lines
• Christopher Cuschieri as Senior Manager – Commercial Lines and Re-Insurance
• Alan Dimech as Assistant Senior Manager – Commercial Lines and Re-Insurance 

Anthony Cauchi has occupied various posts within Elmo Insurance’s Personal Lines Department during the past 18 years. Besides being a Chartered Insurer, Mr Cauchi is also in the process of getting through a gruelling Master in Business Administration degree at the University of Malta. 

Christopher Cuschieri has worked at Elmo Insurance for the past 22 years. He acquired extensive knowledge in Commercial and Marine Insurance and is a specialist in Engineering & Construction Insurance. Mr Cuschieri is also a Chartered Insurer. 

Alan Dimech joined the company 9 years ago and has concentrated on corporate client programs. He will be assisting Chris Cuschieri within the Commercial Lines and Reinsurance Departments.  Alan is also the Risk and Compliance Manager responsible for co-ordinating the company risk management function, which includes compliance. Mr Dimech is a Chartered Insurer and is a member of the Institute of Risk Management. He is currently studying for an International Diploma in Risk Management.
